Awarded "Best Rum" at the Great British Food Awards 2024.
We wanted to make a spiced rum more smooth, more full of flavour and more memorable than any other. Quite simply to create the best spiced rum in the world. It took us more than a year to create the perfect balance of flavours but in 2017 we cracked it and we havent touched the recipe since.
Spiced with vibrant vanilla, clove, cinnamon and sweet citrus the expertly made fine Caribbean rum is then infused with wild hand-picked laver seaweed from the Pembrokeshire coast, introducing umami undertones which soften and enrich the taste. The result is an undeniably smooth yet perfectly punchy drink, delicious for sipping and superb for mixing.
The Barti bottle is made using 50% recycled glass. The label is 100% biodegradable right down to the adhesive, it's made mostly from cane sugar byproduct.
At 35% ABV, Barti is about as mellow as a Sunday morning. Vegan recipe
